Every artwork in this collection comes with this licence, at one price, covering both personal and commercial use.
At a glance
You may use the artwork in personal and commercial projects, edit it, and keep using it forever, anywhere, without crediting the artist.
You may not redistribute or resell the file itself, pass the licence to someone else, or use the artwork as a logo or trademark.
The artist keeps the copyright. You are buying a licence to use the work, not the work itself.
1. Definitions
- "Artwork" means the line art you purchased, in every file format included in the download (PNG and SVG).
- "Artist", "we" and "us" mean Richard Bobrov, trading as buylineart.com.
- "You" means the person or organisation that completed the purchase.
2. Grant of licence
On payment in full, the Artist grants you a licence to use the Artwork that is:
- non-exclusive — the same Artwork is licensed to others too;
- worldwide — valid in every country;
- perpetual — it does not expire, and survives this site being taken down;
- irrevocable, except where you breach it (see section 6);
- non-transferable and non-sublicensable, subject to section 4.
3. What you may do
Personal and commercial use
Use the Artwork in your own projects, including websites, apps, social media, presentations, advertising, packaging, printed matter, merchandise and client work. There is no separate "commercial" tier to buy — this licence already covers it.
Edit it
Crop, recolour, scale, redraw, animate, and combine the Artwork with your own work. You own whatever original material you add; the underlying Artwork remains ours.
Print without limit
There is no cap on print run or impressions for your own products and materials. Section 4 still prohibits selling the Artwork where the Artwork itself is essentially the product being sold.
No credit needed
Attribution is appreciated but not required. Where you do credit us, "buylineart.com" is enough.
Use it forever
The licence does not expire. Work you have already published stays licensed even if we later stop selling that piece.
4. What you may not do
No redistribution
Do not share, upload, sell, sublicense or give away the Artwork file itself — original or edited — including on stock sites, asset marketplaces, template shops, font or icon bundles, NFT platforms, or public repositories. The test is simple: your customer should be buying your work that happens to contain the Artwork, not the Artwork.
Just for you
The licence is personal to you. You may use it in work you deliver to a client, and you may let employees, contractors and agencies use it while working on your behalf. You may not transfer or resell the licence itself, and a client who receives your finished work does not thereby acquire the right to reuse the Artwork in unrelated projects — they need their own licence for that.
No logos or trademarks
Do not use the Artwork, in whole or in substantial part, as a logo, brand mark, app icon or any element of a registered trademark, and do not attempt to register it. Because the licence is non-exclusive, someone else may be using the very same drawing — no one can be given exclusive brand rights to it.
No unlawful or misleading use
Do not use the Artwork in anything unlawful, defamatory, or designed to deceive, and do not use it in a way that implies the Artist endorses your product, organisation or views.
No machine-learning training sets
Do not include the Artwork in a dataset used to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop a generative model, and do not supply it to a third party for that purpose.
5. Ownership
The Artist retains copyright and all moral rights in the Artwork. Nothing in this licence transfers ownership. This licence grants rights of use only, and any right not expressly granted is reserved.
6. Breach and termination
If you breach this licence, it terminates automatically and you must stop using the Artwork and delete the files. Work you published in good faith before the breach may remain in circulation, but you may not produce more of it. If the breach can be put right, we will normally say so and give you a reasonable chance to do that before treating the licence as ended.
7. Warranty
We warrant that the Artwork is our own original work and that we are entitled to license it to you. Beyond that the Artwork is provided as it is: we do not warrant that it is fit for any particular purpose you have in mind.
Our liability under this licence is limited as set out in section 11 of the Terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
8. Governing law
This licence is governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of your country of residence continue to apply.
9. Questions
